All data shared by you is treated with strict privacy protections. We do not access private content from your other accounts without consent, and we never share your data with third parties without your permission. Your data helps us maintain the security and integrity of our platform, detect and prevent fraud, and comply with legal obligations. We handle your information responsibly, always prioritizing your privacy, and never using it for purposes beyond what is necessary to operate, protect, and enhance the Amaro Than ecosystem.
At Amaro Than, your personal data is yours. We do not share your information with third parties for their marketing purposes. However, data may be shared across the Amaro Than ecosystem solely to enhance performance, optimize features, and improve your experience. Any sharing is secure, controlled, and always respects your privacy. Your information is never exposed without strong protections in place.
At Amaro Than, we believe safeguarding your data starts with powerful systems and robust processes. We use a combination of administrative, moderation, and technical measures to ensure your information is secure.
Encryption Model
Amaro Than uses server-side encryption (data is encrypted at rest on our
servers) and in-transit encryption (all data travelling between your
device and our servers is protected via TLS). This means your data is secured both while
stored and while moving across the network.
Important: Amaro Than has transitioned from end-to-end encryption (E2E) to a server-side and in-transit encryption model. Under this model, Amaro Than's servers can access the content of messages and data in order to provide features such as AI-powered assistance (Ainara), content moderation, search, and notifications. Your data is never shared with third parties and access is strictly limited to authorized systems within our Safe Area Network.
Children’s Personal Data
Amaro Than understands the importance of safeguarding the personal data of children. Any
individual under the age of 16 requires proper authorization and parental or guardian
consent to use Amaro Than services.
Account Creation
To access certain Amaro Than services, a person must be 16 or older. Anyone under 16 can
only use Amaro Than with verifiable parental or guardian consent, or through an educational
institution managing accounts for students.
Parents
Parents or guardians must review the Amaro Than Family Privacy Disclosure for Children,
which explains how we handle children’s personal data. Consent must be provided before the
child can access our services.
Educational Institutions
Institutions that provide Amaro Than access to students may create managed accounts for
those under 16. These institutions are required to follow our Managed Accounts Disclosure to
ensure student data is properly protected.
If we learn that a child’s personal data was collected without appropriate
authorization, it
will be deleted immediately.
Amaro Than and its services use cookies and similar technologies, such as web beacons, to enhance your experience and improve our platform. These technologies help us:
- Understand how users interact with our app and ecosystem.
- Ensure security and prevent fraud.
- Measure and improve the effectiveness of features and content.
- Remember your preferences and provide a personalized experience.
Types of Cookies and Technologies:
- Communications Cookies: Enable network traffic and detect errors to keep the app running smoothly.
- Strictly Necessary Cookies: Required to provide specific features or services you access, such as authenticating your account, displaying content correctly, or preserving your session data.
- Other Cookies: Help us analyze usage, improve features, and deliver a tailored experience based on your interactions.
Managing Cookies and Similar Technologies:
You can choose to disable cookies or other tracking technologies in your device settings.
Some features of Amaro Than will not function properly if cookies are disabled.
Email and Click-Through Tracking:
Certain messages from Amaro Than may include click-through links that pass through our
servers to measure interest in topics or content. If you prefer not to be tracked this way,
avoid clicking those links.
Non-Personal vs Personal Data:
Data collected via cookies and similar technologies is generally treated as non-personal.
However, identifiers such as IP addresses may be considered personal data depending on local
law. When combined with other personal data, we treat it as personal data in accordance with
this privacy policy.
Advertising:
Amaro Than may show ads in our app or ecosystem based on general context or engagement. We
do not share your personal data with third-party advertisers for their own marketing
purposes. You can manage ad personalization in your account settings to control the ads you
see.
Handling of Communications
Amaro Than handles communications securely through Cloudflare’s network and
WebRTC TURN servers, allowing us to scale globally while keeping calls
stable and private. Every call session is processed and stored in our Safe Area
Network in encrypted form, ensuring that your conversations remain confidential
and secure.
Call Data We Process
We may store and process the following information to provide, secure, and maintain
communication services:
- Caller and Receiver: Usernames of the participants
- Caller and Receiver Cloudflare Sessions: Session IDs for secure routing
- Caller and Receiver Media Tracks: Audio/video streams associated with the call
- Status: Call activity (active, ended)
- Video Flag: Indicates if the call includes video
- Message ID: Associated message if linked to a chat
- Start and End Timestamps: When the call began and ended
- Last Pulse: Last recorded activity during the call
- Record Creation Timestamp: When the call record was generated
All call data is protected using in-transit encryption (TLS) and server-side encryption at rest. Amaro Than does not use end-to-end encryption for calls. Authorized systems within our Safe Area Network may access call metadata to provide services such as routing and notifications. Call content is never shared with third parties.
Handling of Messages
At Amaro Than, we believe that messages are a deeply personal part of your experience. That
is why all messages are processed exclusively within our Safe Area Network,
where data is encrypted and handled securely. Your message content remains private at all
times.
Message Data We Process
To provide messaging services and maintain security, we may store and process the following
information:
- Message ID: Unique identifier for each message
- Sender: Username of the person sending the message
- Receiver: Username of the person receiving the message
- Message Content: Text of the message
- Created At: Timestamp of when the message was sent
- Image Path: Location of any attached media, stored securely
- Is Seen: Indicates whether the recipient has viewed the message
- Reply To ID: References the message being replied to
- Notification State: Tracks delivery and notification status
All messages are protected using in-transit encryption (TLS) and server-side encryption at rest. Amaro Than does not use end-to-end encryption for messages. Our servers process message content to power features such as Ainara AI replies, notifications, and moderation. Amaro Than does not share your message content with third parties, and access is strictly limited to authorized systems within our Safe Area Network.
Chiriklo Message Privacy Settings
Amaro Than's messaging system, Chiriklo, gives you full control over who can send you messages. You can configure your message privacy at any time from your settings. The available options are:
- Everyone: Any Amaro Than user can send you a message, including people who do not follow you.
- Followers: Only users who follow you can send you messages. Users who do not follow you will not be able to initiate a conversation.
- No One: No user can send you messages. Your inbox is fully closed. This setting does not affect existing conversations.
Your Chiriklo privacy preference is stored as part of your account settings and is enforced at the server level. Changing this setting takes effect immediately. Amaro Than does not notify other users of your privacy setting choice.
What are Quickshots?
Quickshots are one-time view media messages — images, videos, or voice recordings —
that can be sent to another user and are designed to be viewed only once. After the
recipient opens a Quickshot, it is permanently deleted from our servers and cannot
be retrieved or replayed.
Data We Store
- Media File: The image, video, or voice recording, stored with server-side encryption until it is opened by the recipient.
- Sender & Receiver: Usernames of both parties.
- Media Type: Whether the Quickshot is an image, video, or voice recording.
- Viewed Status: Whether the Quickshot has been opened by the recipient.
- Created At: Timestamp of when the Quickshot was sent.
How Quickshots Are Protected
Quickshots are stored on Amaro Than's servers using server-side encryption at rest and transmitted using in-transit encryption (TLS). They are not end-to-end encrypted. Upon the recipient opening the Quickshot, the media file is immediately scheduled for permanent deletion from our servers. Amaro Than does not retain Quickshot media after it has been viewed.
Unviewed Quickshots
If a Quickshot is never opened by the recipient, it will be automatically deleted from our servers after a set expiry period. Unviewed Quickshots are not accessible to anyone other than the intended recipient before they are opened.
Important Limitations
- Amaro Than cannot prevent a recipient from taking a screenshot or screen recording of a Quickshot on their device. We are not responsible for content captured in this way.
- Quickshots are designed for one-time viewing but this is enforced at the application and server level — it does not constitute a technical guarantee against all forms of capture.
- Quickshot media is never shared with third parties and is not used for AI training or content analysis.
Handling of Images, Videos, and Texts
At Amaro Than, we understand that your content—images, videos, and texts—is personal and
valuable. All media is handled securely through Cloudflare Media Services
and stored within the Cloudflare network, ensuring strong protection and global
availability.
Data Stored in Our Database
While the media itself is stored in Cloudflare, our database keeps only essential
information required to operate and manage the content securely:
- ID: Unique identifier for each item
- Size: File size of the media
- Optimized: Indicates whether the file has been optimized for performance
- Photo/Media Path: Secure reference to the media location
- Username: Owner of the content
- Type: Media type (image, video, text)
- Description: Text description or caption
- Likes: Number of likes or reactions
- Comments: Number of comments
- Created At: Timestamp of upload
- Singularity: Internal reference for media management
Media is delivered over encrypted connections (TLS) and stored with server-side encryption at rest within Cloudflare’s network. Our database stores only the metadata required to operate the platform. Access is strictly controlled, and Amaro Than ensures that your content is never shared with third parties without your consent.
Semantic Engine and Content Analysis
At Amaro Than, our semantic engine, Ainara, **analyzes content you upload**, including
images, videos, and text, to better understand interests and improve recommendations. This
analysis helps our platform provide a more personalized and relevant experience for you.
Data Stored
After analysis, Ainara stores only the necessary metadata in our database, such as:
- Username: Owner of the uploaded content
- Interest Keywords: Extracted keywords describing the content
- Updated At: Timestamp of the last analysis or upload
Privacy and Control
Ainara **does not control your data**. The engine only observes content to generate insights for personalization and does not share your uploads with third parties. You can manage what the engine sees and analyzes via your **privacy settings**, keeping full control over your data.
Location Data:
Amaro Than collects your exact or approximate location for logged-in accounts. This helps
our semantic engine provide a personalized feed, showing content that is relevant and local
to you. You can manage location permissions directly in your device settings.
IP Addresses:
IP addresses are collected to maintain the security and stability of our platform, including
enforcing rate limits and preventing abuse. IP information is processed securely and is not
shared for marketing purposes.
We respect your privacy and ensure that all location and IP data is handled safely,
encrypted, and used only to enhance your experience and protect our platform.
Conversations:
Ainara stores conversations to improve your experience while keeping your data secure. The
following information is stored:
- ID: Unique identifier for the conversation
- Title: Name or topic of the conversation
- Username: The user who initiated the conversation
- Created At: Timestamp when the conversation started
- Updated At: Timestamp of the last update in the conversation
Messages:
Within each conversation, Ainara stores the messages exchanged. The following information is kept:
- ID: Unique identifier for the message
- Conversation ID: The conversation this message belongs to
- Role: Role of the sender (user or system)
- Content: The actual message text
- Created At: Timestamp when the message was sent
What Are Highlighted Profiles?
The Highlighted Profiles feature allows certain Amaro Than users to be featured
in a dedicated discovery section, visible to other users browsing by category.
There are two types of highlights — admin-granted (permanent,
assigned by Amaro Than) and coin-purchased (time-limited,
self-activated using Amaro Bankes coins).
Data Stored for Highlighted Profiles
- Username: The highlighted user's account identifier.
- Category: The category the profile is featured under (e.g. Art, Music, Sports, Technology).
- Priority / Tier: The visibility level — Low, Medium, High, or Pro (Pro is admin-only and permanent).
- Is Designed: Whether the profile card has been manually designed by the Amaro Than team.
- Expires At: For coin-purchased highlights, the date and time the highlight automatically expires. Admin highlights have no expiry.
- Created At: Timestamp of when the highlight was activated or granted.
Who Can See Your Highlight
When your profile is highlighted, it becomes visible to all authenticated Amaro Than users in the discovery feed, filterable by category. Your username, full name, profile picture, category, tier, and verified status are shown to other users as part of the highlight card. Your highlight is public within the platform.
Admin Highlights vs Coin Highlights
- Admin Highlights (Pro/High/Medium/Low): Granted by the Amaro Than team. Permanent unless removed. These carry no expiry date and represent Amaro Than's endorsement of the profile as a featured creator or account.
- Coin Highlights: Self-purchased using Amaro Bankes coins. Available in three tiers — Low (150 coins, 24 hours), Medium (400 coins, 3 days), and High (900 coins, 7 days). Automatically removed upon expiry. Only one active coin highlight is permitted per account at a time.
Removal & Data Deletion
When a highlight expires or is removed, the highlight record is immediately deleted or updated in our database and your profile is removed from the discovery feed in real time. Expired coin highlight records are reused for future purchases rather than retained as history. No highlight data is retained after removal beyond what is recorded in transaction logs for fraud prevention.
Your Control
You may contact Amaro Than to request removal of a coin highlight before it expires. Amaro Than reserves the right to remove any highlight at any time as described in the Highlights & Verified Badges section. You cannot transfer a highlight to another account.
Amaro Than Translation
Amaro Than provides an in-app translation feature that lets you translate posts,
comments, and content into up to 33 languages — including
Romani, Albanian, Serbian, Bosnian, Macedonian, and many more —
with automatic source language detection.
Supported Languages
English, Serbian, Albanian, Romani, Chinese, Spanish, Croatian, Bosnian, Bulgarian, Greek, Macedonian, Romanian, Slovenian, Turkish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Ukrainian, Polish, Dutch, Czech, Hungarian, Swedish, Danish, Finnish, Norwegian, Slovak, Lithuanian, Latvian, and Estonian.
Third-Party Translation Provider — Google Translate
Amaro Than's translation feature is powered by the Google Translate API. When you request a translation, the text you are translating is sent to Google's servers for processing. This means Google may process the content of that text in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy.
- Amaro Than does not store translated text on our servers.
- Only the text you explicitly request to translate is sent to Google — your full feed, private messages, and other content are never automatically forwarded.
- Translations are returned directly to your device and are not retained by Amaro Than after delivery.
- Google may independently log or process translation requests in accordance with their own privacy policies and terms.
Romani Language Support
Amaro Than specifically includes Romani translation support — a language underserved by most platforms — as part of our commitment to the Roma community. Romani translations are powered by Google Translate's Romani (rom) language model. Translation quality may vary and Amaro Than makes no guarantee of accuracy for any translated output.
Parallel Translation
When translating to all languages simultaneously, Amaro Than sends parallel requests to Google's API for efficiency. In this case, the same text is sent multiple times — once per target language — to Google's servers.
A First in Social Media
Amaro Than is the first social media platform to introduce native
expiring posts — content that automatically and permanently deletes itself after a
time period chosen by you at the moment of posting. This feature was designed with
your privacy in mind, giving you full control over how long your content lives on
the platform.
How It Works
When creating a post, you may optionally set an expiry duration. Once the expiry time is reached, the post and all its associated data are permanently deleted from Amaro Than's servers and removed from all feeds. Available expiry options are:
- 24 hours
- 48 hours
- 4 days
- 5 days
- 7 days
Posts without an expiry set remain on the platform until manually deleted by you or removed by Amaro Than under our moderation policies.
What Gets Deleted
When an expiring post reaches its set time, Amaro Than permanently deletes:
- The post content (text, image, video, or poll)
- All associated likes, comments, and reactions
- Share records and engagement metrics linked to the post
- Any media files stored on our servers or Cloudflare's network
Privacy Assurance
Deletion is permanent and irreversible. Amaro Than does not retain expired post content in backups or archives after deletion. Expired posts cannot be recovered by you, other users, or Amaro Than's team. This is a core privacy guarantee of the expiring posts feature.
Limitations
- Amaro Than cannot prevent other users from taking screenshots or saving content before it expires.
- Content that has been reported and is under active moderation review may be retained temporarily beyond its expiry time to complete the review process, after which it will be deleted.
- Deletion timing is automated and may vary by a small margin around the set expiry time depending on system load.
What is the Professional Dashboard?
Amaro Than offers a Professional Account mode for Creators and
Businesses. When enabled, the platform collects and surfaces additional analytics
and tracking data to help you understand your audience, content performance, and
growth. By switching to a Professional Account you consent to the collection and
processing of the data described below.
Account Data Stored
- Professional Type: Whether your account is classified as Creator or Business.
- Professional Category: The category or industry you selected when activating your professional account.
Dashboard Modules & Data Collected
- Performance & Reach: Total post views, total video watch time, unique profile visitors, total likes, comments, and shares across your content.
- Audience Insights: Data about the users engaging with your content, including follower counts, visitor patterns, and engagement trends over time.
- Content Analytics: Per-post performance metrics including views, likes, comments, shares, and watch time to identify your best-performing content.
- Monetization Tracking: If you record sponsorships, affiliate deals, merchandise, memberships, or partnerships, Amaro Than stores the transaction type, source name, amount, and click counts. This data is visible only to you.
- Benchmarking & Competitors: You may add other Amaro Than accounts to track as competitors. Amaro Than stores the competitor usernames and category you selected. Only publicly available metrics are used for comparison.
- Content Scheduling: Scheduled posts are stored including their planned publish time, content data, and status (pending, posted, or failed).
- Sentiment Analysis: Ainara analyses comments and reactions on your content to generate a sentiment summary (positive, neutral, negative). The underlying comment data is not stored separately — only the generated sentiment insight is surfaced.
- Alerts: Amaro Than may generate performance alerts (e.g. unusual spikes in reach or engagement) based on your account activity.
How This Data Is Used
All professional dashboard data is used exclusively to power your own analytics view. It is never shared with other users, advertisers, or third parties. Competitor usernames you track are not notified that they are being benchmarked. Monetization data you enter is entirely self-reported and private to your account only.
Disabling Professional Mode
If you switch back to a standard account, your professional analytics history and scheduling data will be removed. Monetization and competitor records will also be deleted. This action is irreversible.
Platform Privileges, Not Rights
Highlighted profile status and verified badges are platform privileges granted at
Amaro Than's discretion — they are not permanent rights. Amaro Than reserves the
right to remove, revoke, or modify any highlighted status or verified badge on any
account at any time, for any reason, with or without notice.
Data Implications
When a highlight or verified badge is removed, the associated data (priority level, category, expiry, badge record) is updated or deleted from our database immediately. This change is reflected across the platform in real time. No personal data beyond the privilege record itself is affected by the removal.
Coin Highlights
Coin-purchased highlights that are removed by Amaro Than due to a policy violation are not refunded. Highlights removed due to natural expiry follow the standard deletion process described in the Amaro Bankes section.
Control of Your Content
At Amaro Than, you have full control over the content you share. You can:
- Hide Posts: Keep posts private or remove them from your feed at any time.
- Hide Others Posts: Remove posts from your feed at any time.
- Block Users: Prevent unwanted interactions by blocking other users.
- Report Users: Report inappropriate behavior or content directly to our moderation team.
Every report is reviewed promptly, and our team replies within 24 hours. If a post or user violates our guidelines, the content is removed to maintain a safe and respectful community.
Your **privacy and control** are a top priority, and Amaro Than ensures you can manage your experience while keeping the platform secure for everyone.
Amaro Than complies with all rules for GDPR and CCPA.
We are committed to protecting your personal data and ensuring your rights are respected, no
matter where you live.
Your Rights under GDPR:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Request corrections or updates to your data.
- Request deletion of your data where applicable.
- Object to or restrict processing of your personal data.
- Withdraw consent at any time for data processing that requires it.
- Know what personal information we collect, use, and share.
- Request deletion of your personal information.
- Opt-out of any sale of personal information (if applicable).
- Access your data in a portable and usable format.
- Non-discrimination: your rights cannot be penalized.
We take your privacy seriously and ensure all requests are handled promptly and securely.
Our Commitment to Your Privacy
At Amaro Than, we take your privacy seriously. We are committed to safeguarding your
personal data and ensuring that your experience within our app and ecosystem remains
private, secure, and under your control.
We follow strict policies and implement advanced technical, administrative, and operational
measures to:
- Keep your personal data protected with server-side encryption at rest and in-transit TLS encryption at all times.
- Process only the information necessary to provide and improve our services.
- Give you full control over your data, including managing, updating, and deleting it.
- Protect your content, messages, and communications from unauthorized access.
- Comply with all applicable data protection regulations, including GDPR.
What Changed
Amaro Than has transitioned from end-to-end encryption (E2E) to a
server-side encryption + in-transit encryption model. This is an
important change and we want to be fully transparent about what it means for you.
In-Transit Encryption (TLS)
All data travelling between your device and Amaro Than's servers — including messages, media, API requests, and account data — is protected by TLS (Transport Layer Security). This means no one can intercept or read your data as it moves across the internet.
Server-Side Encryption (At Rest)
All data stored on our servers — including messages, media metadata, profile information, and conversation history — is encrypted at rest using server-managed encryption. Amaro Than's authorized systems can decrypt this data to provide services.
Why We Made This Change
End-to-end encryption, while offering strong privacy, prevented us from delivering features our community depends on — including Ainara AI assistance in chats, content moderation to protect users from harassment, smart notifications, and search. The server-side model allows us to build a safer and more intelligent platform while maintaining strict controls over who within our systems can access your data.
What This Means for You
- Your data is encrypted both in transit and at rest — it is not transmitted or stored in plaintext.
- Amaro Than's servers can access the content of your messages and data to power features and enforce safety policies.
- No third party has access to your data. All access is limited to authorized Amaro Than systems within our Safe Area Network.
- If you require end-to-end encrypted communications, we recommend using a dedicated E2E messaging service for those needs.
What is Amaro Bankes?
Amaro Bankes is Amaro Than's built-in virtual economy. It lets you earn, spend, and manage
coins — a platform currency that unlocks cosmetic items, boosts, and
special features. Coins have no real-world monetary value and cannot be exchanged for cash.
Data We Store
To operate Amaro Bankes we store the following information linked to your account:
- Coin Balance: Your current coin total.
- XP & Level: Experience points earned through activity, used to calculate your level.
- Equipped Items: Which badge and frame you currently have equipped on your profile.
- Inventory: Items you have purchased, including their type (badge or frame), expiry date, and equipped status.
- Transaction Logs: A record of every coin credit or deduction, including the action type (e.g. daily bonus, game reward, purchase) and timestamp. These logs are used to enforce daily limits and prevent abuse.
How You Earn Coins
Coins can be earned through daily activities — each claimable once per calendar day:
- Daily Bonus: 30 coins for logging in each day.
- Daily Check-In: 10 coins for checking in.
- Posting Reward: 100 coins for publishing content on that day.
- Flappy Bird: Up to 99 coins from the in-app mini-game.
- Spin Wheel: A variable coin reward from the daily spin.
- Card Game: Up to 150 coins.
- Dice Game: Up to 192 coins.
How You Spend Coins
- Badges & Frames: Cosmetic profile items available in the Amaro Bankes shop. Items are time-limited (badges last 2 weeks, frames last 4 weeks) and expire automatically.
- Streak Restore: 300 coins to restore a broken chat streak with a friend.
- AI Message Limit Boost: 10 coins per extra Ainara message unlocked permanently on your account.
- Profile Highlight: Spend coins to feature your profile in a category for a set duration — Low (150 coins / 24 h), Medium (400 coins / 3 days), High (900 coins / 7 days).
Privacy Protections
All Amaro Bankes data is stored securely within our Safe Area Network and is never shared with third parties. Transaction logs are used solely for fraud prevention, daily-limit enforcement, and balance accuracy — not for advertising or profiling. Coin balances and inventory are tied to your account and are deleted when your account is deleted.
How Ainara Uses Your Data
Ainara is Amaro Than's private artificial intelligence — built entirely in-house and powered
by the Amaro Than Ainara model (Gemma 3 × NARA-1r Pro). Unlike third-party
AI services, Ainara runs exclusively within our own infrastructure. Your data never leaves
the Amaro Than ecosystem.
To deliver its features, Ainara may use your data in the following ways:
- Image Generation: Ainara can generate images based on your prompts and context. Any content you provide is processed privately on our servers and is not shared with external AI providers.
- Insights & Personalization: Ainara uses your activity, interests, and content interactions to generate personalized insights, recommendations, and a smarter feed experience tailored to you.
- Translation: Ainara provides real-time translation across languages relevant to the Roma community and beyond. Text submitted for translation is processed privately and not retained beyond the session.
- Content Understanding: Ainara analyzes posts, captions, and media you interact with to better understand context and improve the relevance of what you see.
- AI Conversations: Messages you send to Ainara are stored within your conversation history, encrypted, and used solely to improve the quality of responses within your session.
Private AI — No Third Parties
Ainara is not connected to OpenAI, Google, Meta, or any other external AI provider. All processing happens on Amaro Than's own servers using our proprietary NARA-1r Pro model architecture. Your data is never used to train external models or shared outside the Amaro Than platform.
Your ControlYou can manage what Ainara can access through your privacy settings at any time. You may disable AI-powered features, clear your Ainara conversation history, or restrict how your data is used for personalization — all without losing access to the core Amaro Than experience.
What Are Stories?
Stories are short-lived posts — images, videos, or text — that disappear automatically after 24 hours. They appear at the top of the feed and are visible to your followers or the public depending on your privacy settings.
- Media Path: Location of the story image or video.
- Username: The account that posted the story.
- Created At / Expires At: Timestamp of posting and the calculated 24-hour expiry.
- Story Viewers: We log which users have viewed your story so you can see your viewer list.
- Reactions & Likes: Reactions and likes on stories are stored while the story is active and deleted with the story.
Deletion: Stories and all associated viewer logs, reactions, and media are permanently deleted after 24 hours. Amaro Than does not retain story content after expiry.
Live Streaming on Amaro Than
Amaro Than allows users to broadcast live video to their followers in real time. Live streams are routed through our infrastructure and are not recorded or stored by Amaro Than unless a replay feature is explicitly enabled.
- Broadcaster Username: The account hosting the stream.
- Viewer Identities: Usernames of authenticated users watching the stream.
- Stream Status: Whether a stream is active or ended.
- Real-Time Media: Video and audio are transmitted in real time and are not persistently stored by Amaro Than.
Privacy: Live content is accessible to your followers or the public depending on your settings. You can end your live stream at any time. Amaro Than cannot prevent viewers from recording your stream on their own device.
Communities
Amaro Than allows users to create and join Communities — group spaces where members can share content and messages with each other.
- Community Name, Description, Category: Public-facing details of the community.
- Creator & Members: Usernames of the creator and all members.
- Community Messages: Messages posted within a community are stored on our servers with server-side encryption at rest.
- Message Seen Status: Whether community messages have been read by members.
- Member Roles: Admin and member status within the community.
Visibility: Content posted in a community is visible to all members. Amaro Than moderators may access community content to enforce safety policies.
Kajsi — Events on Amaro Than
Kajsi is Amaro Than's event feature. Users can create events, invite others, collect RSVPs, and generate Apple Wallet passes for their events.
- Event Details: Title, description, date, end date, location, category, and any attached photos.
- Coordinates: Latitude and longitude if a precise location is provided, used for map display and Apple Wallet lock-screen relevance.
- Host: The username of the event creator.
- RSVPs & Subscriptions: Which users have indicated attendance or subscribed to updates.
- Apple Wallet Passes: When a .pkpass is generated, event data (title, date, location, host) is embedded in the pass file and signed using our Pass Type ID certificate. Pass data is not retained on our servers after generation.
Public Visibility: Events are publicly visible to Amaro Than users. Location coordinates are used solely for display and lock-screen features and are not shared with third parties.
Polls
Amaro Than supports polls embedded in posts. When you vote on a poll, your vote is recorded and associated with your account.
- Poll Options: The choices defined by the post creator.
- Vote Records: Which option each user voted for, tied to their username.
- Vote Counts: Aggregate totals visible to all users.
Privacy: Your individual vote is stored on our servers. Poll results (aggregate counts) are visible to all users who can see the post. Amaro Than does not publicly expose which specific user voted for which option.
Post Boost
Users can boost posts to increase their visibility in the feed. Boosted posts are tracked as promoted content.
- Promoted Post Record: The post ID, the user who boosted it, and the boost duration or reach target.
- Boosted posts are shown to a wider audience within the platform. No personal data of viewers is shared with the post creator as a result of a boost.
Reposts
When you repost another user's content, a repost record is created linking your account to the original post.
- Repost Record: Your username, the original post ID, and the timestamp of the repost.
- The original creator retains full authorship. Reposts are publicly visible on your profile and in the feed.
- Deleting a repost removes it from your profile and the feed but does not affect the original post.
Chat Streaks
Chat streaks track consecutive days of messaging between two users. If both users exchange at least one message per day, their streak counter increments.
- Data Stored: Both usernames, the last message timestamp for each user, and the current streak count.
- Streak data is visible only to the two users in the conversation.
- Streaks can be restored using Amaro Bankes coins (300 coins). The restore action resets the last-sent timestamps and is logged in transaction records.
Chat Themes
You can personalise your chat appearance by selecting a theme. Your theme preference is stored as an account setting and applied to your conversations.
- Data Stored: Your selected theme identifier, tied to your account.
- Theme data is cosmetic only and has no impact on message content or delivery.
Push Notifications
Amaro Than sends push notifications to your device for events such as new messages, likes, comments, follows, and mentions.
- Push Token: A device-specific token issued by Apple (APNs) or Google (FCM) that allows us to deliver notifications to your device. This token is stored linked to your account.
- Notification Content: The content of notifications (e.g. "X liked your post") is generated on our servers and sent to your device. Notification content is not stored after delivery.
- Notification Preferences: Your in-app notification settings are stored to determine which events trigger a push.
Third-Party Delivery: Push notifications are delivered via Apple Push Notification Service (APNs) for iOS devices. Your push token is transmitted to Apple as part of the delivery process. Apple's Privacy Policy governs their handling of this data.
Opting Out: You can disable push notifications at any time from your device settings or within the Amaro Than notification preferences.
Login Activity
Amaro Than records your login history to help you identify and manage active sessions and detect suspicious access.
- Login Timestamp: When each login occurred.
- IP Address: The IP address used at login, used to estimate your approximate location for security purposes.
- Device / Platform: The device type or platform used (e.g. iOS).
- Session Tokens: Authentication tokens that keep you logged in. Active tokens are stored securely and invalidated on logout.
- JWT Blacklist: Revoked tokens are stored in a blacklist to prevent reuse after logout or account suspension.
Your Control: You can view active sessions and revoke access from your security settings. Amaro Than may automatically invalidate sessions if suspicious activity is detected.
Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)
Amaro Than supports two-factor authentication to add an extra layer of security to your account.
- 2FA Secret: An encrypted secret key used to generate time-based one-time passwords (TOTP). This is stored securely and never exposed to other users.
- 2FA Enabled Flag: Whether 2FA is currently active on your account.
- Backup Codes: A set of one-time recovery codes generated when you enable 2FA. These are stored hashed and can only be used once each.
- Pending Verification State: Temporary state stored during the 2FA setup or login verification process.
Security: Your 2FA secret is stored encrypted. Amaro Than staff cannot view your 2FA codes. If you lose access to your authenticator and backup codes, account recovery may be limited.
Account Recovery
If you lose access to your account, Amaro Than provides a recovery process using your registered email address.
- Email Address: Used to verify your identity and send a recovery link or code.
- Password Reset Tokens: Temporary, single-use tokens stored securely and invalidated after use or after a set expiry period.
- Recovery Request Timestamp: When the recovery was requested, used to enforce token expiry.
Security: Recovery links expire after a short period. Amaro Than will never ask for your password via email. If you did not request a recovery, contact our privacy team immediately.
Profile Visitors
Amaro Than tracks when authenticated users visit your profile, allowing you to see who has recently viewed it.
- Visitor Username: The account that viewed your profile.
- Profile Owner Username: Your account.
- Visit Timestamp: When the visit occurred.
Visibility: You can see who visited your profile from your profile visitors section. The visitor is not notified that you have viewed your own visitor list. Profile visitor data is used by the Professional Dashboard for audience analytics. Visitor records are retained for a rolling period and older records are automatically removed.
Video Watch Time
Amaro Than tracks how long users watch video content on the platform. This data is used to improve feed personalisation and provide analytics to content creators through the Professional Dashboard.
- Post ID: The video being watched.
- Watch Duration: Total seconds watched per video per user.
- Watch Count: How many times the video has been watched.
- Viewer Username: The account watching the video.
Purpose: Watch time data is used for feed ranking, content recommendations, and creator analytics only. It is never shared with third parties or used for advertising profiling.
How the Explore Feed Works
Amaro Than uses a personalisation algorithm to surface relevant content in your Explore and main feed. To do this, the platform collects and processes engagement signals from your activity.
- Engagement Signals: Likes, comments, shares, reposts, saves, and time spent on posts are recorded as signals that inform the algorithm.
- Interest Vectors: A mathematical representation of your content interests, derived from your activity and updated over time.
- Explicit Interests: Categories or topics you select directly in your settings.
- Explore Feedback: When you dismiss or engage with explore suggestions, that feedback is stored to improve future recommendations.
- Watch Time: How long you spend on video content influences your feed ranking.
Your Control: You can reset your explore preferences, adjust your interest settings, or provide explicit feedback on content from your settings at any time. Amaro Than does not sell this data to advertisers.
Music Feature
Amaro Than allows users to attach music tracks to posts and videos. Music is sourced from Amaro Than's own music library hosted within our platform.
- Music Library: Track metadata (title, artist, file path) stored on Amaro Than's servers.
- Selected Track: When you attach music to a post, the track ID, start time, and associated post ID are stored.
Responsibility: Amaro Than maintains its music library in compliance with applicable licensing requirements. Users may not upload or attach unlicensed third-party music to their posts outside of the provided library.
GIF Support
Amaro Than provides GIF search and sharing functionality powered by a third-party GIF provider. When you search for or send a GIF, your search query is sent to the GIF provider's API.
- Search queries entered in the GIF picker are transmitted to the third-party provider to return results.
- Amaro Than does not store your GIF search history on our servers.
- The GIF provider may process your search query in accordance with their own privacy policy.
- GIFs sent in messages are stored as a reference URL pointing to the provider's CDN — the actual GIF file is not stored on Amaro Than's servers.
Your Awareness: By using the GIF feature you acknowledge that your search queries are processed by a third-party service outside of the Amaro Than ecosystem.
Ainara AI Sub-Features
Amaro Than offers several Ainara-powered writing tools to help you create better content.
- AI Caption Generation: You can request Ainara to generate a caption for your post or media. The content or prompt you provide is processed by Ainara on Amaro Than's own servers. The generated caption is returned to you and is not stored unless you publish it as part of a post.
- Comment Refinement: Ainara can refine or improve a comment before you post it. The original comment text is sent to Ainara for processing and a suggested revision is returned. The original unrefined text is not stored beyond the session.
- Chat Message Refinement: Similarly, Ainara can refine messages in Chiriklo before you send them. The draft message is processed privately and not stored.
Privacy: All AI writing assistance is processed by Ainara on Amaro Than's own servers. None of this content is sent to external AI providers. Draft content processed by these tools is not retained after the suggestion is returned to you.
Reflections
Reflections is a private journaling feature within Amaro Than where you can record personal thoughts, moods, or notes for yourself.
- Reflection Content: The text or entry you save.
- Username: The account the reflection belongs to.
- Timestamp: When the reflection was saved.
Privacy: Reflections are entirely private to your account. They are not visible to other users, Amaro Than's moderation team, or any third party. Reflections are stored with server-side encryption at rest. They are deleted when you delete them or when your account is deleted.
Blocking
When you block another user, both accounts lose the ability to see each other's content, interact, or message each other on the platform.
- Data Stored: A block record linking your username and the blocked username, with a timestamp.
- The blocked user is not notified that they have been blocked.
- Blocking is mutual — you also cannot see the blocked user's profile or content.
- Block records are deleted if either account is deleted.
Muting
Muting allows you to hide another user's content from your feed without blocking them or unfollowing them.
- Data Stored: A mute record linking your username and the muted username.
- The muted user is not notified.
- Muting only affects your own feed — the muted user can still see and interact with your content.
Content & User Reporting
Amaro Than provides in-app tools to report posts, comments, and messages that violate our community guidelines.
- Reporter Username: The account submitting the report.
- Reported Content ID: The specific post, comment, or message being reported.
- Reported User: The account that created the content.
- Report Reason: The category of violation selected.
- Timestamp: When the report was filed.
How Reports Are Handled: Reports are reviewed by Amaro Than's moderation team. The reported user is not told who filed the report. If a violation is confirmed, the content may be removed and the account may be sanctioned. Report records are retained for safety and audit purposes even after the reported content is deleted.
Third-Party Sign-In Options
Amaro Than allows you to sign in or register using your existing Google or Apple account. When you use one of these options, the following applies:
- Data Received from Google: When signing in with Google, we receive your Google account ID, email address, and display name from Google's OAuth service. This data is used to create or authenticate your Amaro Than account.
- Data Received from Apple: When signing in with Apple, we receive a unique Apple user identifier and optionally your email address (which Apple may relay or hide). Apple's Sign in with Apple service processes your identity verification before passing a token to Amaro Than.
- Data We Store: We store the external account identifier (Google ID or Apple ID) linked to your Amaro Than account to enable future sign-ins. We do not store your Google or Apple passwords.
- Third-Party Policies: Google and Apple's own privacy policies govern how they handle data on their end. Amaro Than only receives what you authorise during the sign-in flow.
Parental Controls
Amaro Than provides parental control features to help parents or guardians manage the experience of users under their supervision.
- Control Settings: The restrictions or permissions configured by a parent or guardian for the supervised account.
- Linked Accounts: The relationship between the supervising account and the supervised account.
Purpose: Parental control settings are used solely to enforce the configured restrictions within the platform. This data is not shared with third parties and is deleted when either linked account is deleted or the parental control relationship is removed.
Verification
Amaro Than offers a verification badge to notable accounts — public figures, organisations, journalists, and community leaders. Verification is granted at Amaro Than's sole discretion.
- Application Details: Information submitted as part of your verification request, including your stated reason for requesting verification and any supporting material provided.
- Application Status: Whether your application is pending, approved, or rejected.
- Badge Record: If approved, a verification record linked to your username is stored and displayed as a badge on your profile.
Important: Verification can be revoked at any time as described in the Highlights & Verified Badges section. Application data may be retained for a reasonable period after a decision is made. Amaro Than is not obligated to approve any application or provide a reason for rejection.
